Victoria’s real secret? AGITO

Lights, camera… ANGELS!

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has always been more theatre than catwalk – lights, feathers and kisses blown to the camera.

But this year, the real choreography was happening just out of frame. While models strutted down the runway, three AGITOs, operating in low-mode, moved in perfect sync – gliding just above the floor level to capture every shimmer and hair flick for the live stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Working with RailCam, the production team faced the delicate challenge of filming a high-gloss runway show that demanded no rails, cables or anything remotely unglamorous. Their solution was clean and clever: MagTrax’s magnetic strip was hidden neatly beneath the carpet, allowing the cameras to track smoothly while keeping the space pristine.

This year also marked the move to AGITO Gen 2, offering a improved reliability and a wireless Ethernet network – a quiet but crucial upgrade in a live, high-pressure environment. Each unit was operated via foot pedals, giving precise, fluid control over movement and framing, while two safety technicians shadowed the rigs to keep their paths clear as the show unfolded.

It’s a kind of backstage ballet – technicians, operators, models and machines all in motion, each trusting the other to hit their mark. And, in a charmingly on-brand flourish, the MagTrax lights glowed pink. Because of course they did.

In the end, it was proof that Victoria’s real secret might not be lace or wings, but motion – perfectly timed, quietly executed and just out of sight.
