Last week, for the first time ever, all ten F1 teams – drivers and principals alike – gathered for a one-off special evening ‘F1 75 Live‘ that kicked off the new season, unveiled the 2025 liveries and cars and launched the sport’s 75th anniversary celebrations. And while there were some unsavoury moments during Red Bull’s segment when champion Max Verstappen was booed, it was 100% a night to remember.
Bringing the energy and theatrics of the event to audiences around the world was our fantastic AGITO customer, Alan Wells.
Eschewing the time-consuming task of laying down 80m of traditional camera tracks around the stage; he applied 40m of magnetic tape on either side, enabling two AGITOs in MagTrax mode to follow the tape with total accuracy. This clever move to use AGITO MagTrax not only cut setup time – under 10 minutes, as Alan proudly notes – but also allowed for controlled camera movements that captured every twist, turn – and even every heckle – with remarkable precision.

AGITO offers multiple configurations to suit your filming needs, it’s a swiss army knife for film-makers. MagTrax enhances the existing Sports drive-ends enabling customers to follow a magnetic strip laid on a surface, underneath a carpet or embedded within a set. The magnetic strip can be arranged in various creative ways beyond what you can do with a regular track.
