Motion Impossible Presents the Full AGITO Family at IBC2024
23 July 2024, Bristol, UK – Motion Impossible, the leader in production-proven robotic camera dollies and stabilization solutions, returns to IBC2024 in Amsterdam with the entire AGITO lineup, demonstrating its commitment to innovation with systems designed for sports, broadcast, studio, natural history, film, and high-end television.
About AGITO
AGITO is a remote-controlled dolly that offers precise control, adaptable camera positioning, and versatility across various terrains and shooting scenarios. Combining the capabilities of jibs, dollies, cranes, and stabilizer mounts into a single platform, it supports a wide range of dynamic camera movements. This includes unique shots like 360-degree wraparounds and complex tracking sequences, often reducing the need for post-production work like rig or track removal. Designed with a modular framework for quick assembly, disassembly, and reconfiguration, it is a cost-effective solution for any project.
AGITO Gen 2
Maintaining the acclaimed agile design of the original AGITO, Gen 2 is the next-generation system featuring an advanced Core and Master Controller.
Key Specifications:
- Supports up to 100kg (220lbs) total payload.
- Speed ranges from 1.5mm/s (0.05in/s) to 27mph (43.4km/h).
- Turning circle of 2.4m (7.9ft).
- Direct Ethernet connection for remote operation and centralized management.
- IP54 weather resistance.
- Silent steering and drive mechanisms.
- Robust modular RF system.
- Haptic feedback and assignable button functions from the controller.
AGITO Cine
Designed for rental, AGITO Cine is a versatile solution for blue-chip wildlife, cinema, and HETV. It builds on the features of AGITO Gen 2 by adding a larger Core, extended wheelbase, and increased ground clearance, which enables it to support heavier cameras and remote heads. Despite its ability to handle bigger payloads, its compact size allows it to access areas where bulkier equipment might be less practical.
Key Specifications:
- Supports up to 150kg (330lb) total payload.
- Speed ranges from 0.5cm/s (0.1in/s) to 18.6mph (28km/h).
- Turning circle of 2.9m (9.5ft).
- Direct Ethernet connection for remote operation and centralized management.
- IP54 weather resistance.
- Powerful motors and mechanical braking.
- Silent steering and drive mechanisms.
- Compatible with the V-Con Max for stabilized vertical control up to 64kg (141lbs).
- Super-quiet elevation with AGITO Column.
- Robust modular RF system.
AGITO Commander
AGITO Commander is a new centralized software platform designed to control multiple AGITOs from a single command station. It works in both Trax (rail) and SkyTrax (truss-mounted rail) configurations, and facilitates the synchronization of timelines, presets, and keyframes with GPIO triggers for studio animation. It also supports the animation and recording of AGITO parameters on timelines for future replay, showcasing its versatility and potential for elevating visual storytelling and creative expression.
V-Con Max
Durable yet compact, this new vertically controlled stabilizer is engineered to handle payloads up to 64kg (141lbs) while providing effective damping in tight spaces. With innovative dual Mitchell mounts on both the top and bottom, it attaches easily to various platforms like motorbikes, cars, rickshaws, or dollies to ensure stable vertical movement.
Add-ons and accessories
The company will also display its extensive range of add-ons and accessories, underscoring the versatility and modularity of the AGITO system.
Drive-ends:
- Sports: Designed for high-speed tracking and agility, Sports operates without the need for physical tracks, making it perfect for capturing dynamic and fast-paced environments like sports and natural history productions.
- Trax: Converts AGITO into a remotely operated track dolly, accommodating track gauges from 300 to 400mm with split wheels for silent operation and speeds of 6m/s, ideal for studio work.
- MagTrax: Combines the benefits of traditional tracks while eliminating the need for permanent fixtures. Using magnetic strip, which can be laid directly on the floor or concealed, it allows for various track configurations such as junctions and curves. It can also be quickly repositioned between takes – and, with a simple command from the Master Controller, MagTrax can transition to Sports mode.
Stabilization & Elevation:
- V-Con Pro: Supporting payloads up to 32kg (71lbs), this robust vertical stabilization system features adjustable preload and dampers to minimize vibrations, ensuring stable footage.
- AGITO Tower and AGITO Column: These systems provide precise control for camera elevation. The AGITO Tower has a 700mm stroke, supports payloads up to 22kg (49lbs), and lifts the camera up to 1240mm (4.07 ft), while the AGITO Column has a 600m stroke, accommodates heavier loads up to 45kg (99lbs), and lifts the camera up to 1257mm (4.12 ft).
Motion Impossible is exhibiting at IBC2024 between September 13-16th at stand 12.A21. Additionally, the company is partnering with Fujinon, located next door at stand 12.B20, to showcase a live events solution that integrates AGITO with Premista lenses.
