Torq is a modular stabilisation system built around three distinct motor types – Nexus, Vector and Saturn – forming a unified motor architecture.
By varying the number and arrangement of these motors, and adapting the supporting mechanical structure, Torq can be assembled as a 3-axis, 2-axis or single-axis stabilised remote head. A single architecture, engineered to meet different production requirements without duplicating hardware.
The structural core and pan-axis foundation.
Compact precision motors for tilt stabilisation.
A large-format ring motor delivering roll-axis control.
Torq is built around Nexus, Vector and Saturn – engineered to work together within a single stabilisation platform.
In its NVVS configuration, Torq combines all three motor types to deliver rigid, mechanically precise 3-axis stabilisation.
By adjusting the number and arrangement of motors, Torq can be built as 2-axis pan / tilt or single-axis systems.
Integrated IMUs in every motor enable active stabilisation across all configured axes. Continuous 360° rotation ensures unrestricted movement.
Interchangeable yokes and mounting components allow lens height, tilt clearance and overall structure to be tailored.
Rigid dovetail balancing, defined axis roles and structural integrity ensure reliable performance in dynamic production environments.
3-Axis standard configuration
3-Axis and ultra compact
3-Axis for larger payloads
Minature 2-axis Pan and Tilt
Single-axis roll (Steadicam Compatible)
Torq supports both tacticle and remote control.
Inertia Wheels deliver direct pan, tilt and roll control using SOC award-winning digital mass and drag, replicating the feel of a fluid head. Dual-operation also allows some axes to be controlled directly on the wheels while others remain remote.
For larger remote camera or robotics workflows, the Skaarhoj PTZ Extreme panel provides a flexible control interface with assignable joysticks, knobs and buttons.
NODO Torq, built by NODO Film Systems, is available direct from Motion Impossible – or bundled with AGITO as part of a full camera movement solution.
